ARC Facility Supervisor (71117)

Location: Brooklyn, NY

The Department of Athletics and Recreation is searching for a highly motivated, ARC Facility Supervisor. We are looking for enthusiastic and responsible individuals that are willing to supervise our facility, student staff, and special events. We are seeking individuals who have previous experience supervising athletic/recreational facilities. We seek individuals who have a passion for facility and equipment operations as well as working in a team. Reporting to the Associate Director of Athletics for Recreation and Facilities, The Athletics and Recreation Department is committed to providing a wide range of activities and services that assist Pratt students of various backgrounds and abilities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

On a typical day you will be required to:
  • Fostering a welcoming and positive environment for all students, faculty, and staff.
  • All facility supervisors will be required to either open or close the building
  • Maintaining and touring all areas including locker rooms, weight rooms, and restrooms making sure they are clean, organized, and supplies are replenished
  • Supervising and training student staff; designating daily assignments
  • Supervising special events and setting up and taking down equipment for Athletic and Recreation events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The hourly rate is $18.69 per hour, between 20-25 hrs a week

Education: High School diploma or its equivalent

Experience: Knowledge of intramurals, recreation and athletics; familiarity with athletic events.

Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of personalities (i.e. students, faculty, staff, etc.) required. Supervisory experience in a recreational facility highly desirable.
