Assistant Professor of Journalism, Baylor University

The Baylor University Journalism, Public Relations & New Media Department seeks a dynamic scholar to fill this position beginning Fall 2023. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or other terminal degree and have professional experience in journalism, public relations or social media. The Department of Journalism, Public Relations & New Media is accredited through Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (ACEJMC).

Candidates for tenure-track positions must have a defined research agenda or promise of substantial research, seek research grants, be willing to mentor graduate students and teach both conceptual and skills-based courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Courses taught may include the areas of public relations, leadership, crisis and issues management, social media, digital analytics, and diverse media markets.
