Associate Director of Student Accounts, US and Multi-currency Billing

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Director of Student Financial Services, the Associate Director will be responsible for the oversight and management of the Financial Force billing and revenue system as well as all related interfaces. The Associate Director will be the lead on developing, maintaining, and coordinating of all fee assessment rules, detail codes, 3rd party billing, payment plans and bill processing for all University academic programs. Coordinating with all necessary university partners, entities and systems, the Associate Director will have oversight of posting all credits, debits, anticipated financial aid, loan disbursements, Financial Force/Cashnet and all other transactions that pertain to approximately 2 billion dollars of accounts receivable.

The Associate Director will be responsible for the oversight of staff training, system implementations and enhancements as well as adherence to all federal, state, and institutional policies, procedures, and regulations. He/she will oversee the creation and delivery all financial reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, ad hoc)

The Associate Director will oversee all 3rd party systems related to multicurrency billing for NU international campuses and those account receivables. He/she will work with all university partners to create functional workflow, accountabilities, policies, and procedures as related.

The Associate Director will oversee the tracking and accounting for all discounts and scholarships and ensure they are applied appropriately to the bills. This position will partner with the Finance Office, Canada campus Deans and appropriate colleges to track all revenue generated by the international campuses. The Associate Director will also manage any collection activity associated with the international campuses including negotiations with vendors, approving pay plan agreements with students, providing metrics to the SFS Dean and other parties on outstanding receivables.

The Associate Director will work with partner offices such as the Registrar to ensure all systems are integrated for any international campus programs. This position will assist the Student Accounts team with any domestic billing which will include, Graduate, Undergraduate, Law and CPS invoicing.
  • 3-5 years of Student Accounts and Banner Student A/R/ Salesforce experience
  • Financial Force experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong project management skills and ability to implement and manage multiple projects
    Knowledge of Student A/R performance metrics
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
  • Strong oral/written communication and analytical skills
