* Receives calls related to potential poisonings and obtains an accurate history of exposure. * Calculates patient's level of exposure and determines if patient is in range of toxicity using appropriate formulas. * Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates an age appropriate plan of care utilizing approved poison center protocols and the Micromedex healthcare series software package. * Communicates treatment information to healthcare professionals or the general public seeking poison center services. * Provides information regarding identity and treatment of toxins and drugs to all healthcare personnel. * Conducts/follow up calls in accordance with established policy and procedure. * Documents collected information in an on-line database.
