Assistant Coach - Men's Volleyball (Seasonal)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Title: Assistant Coach - Men’s Volleyball (Seasonal)
Department: Athletics
Reports to: Head Coach – Men’s Volleyball
Status: Seasonal, Non-Benefit Eligible - 6 months (October & November and January through April)
Location: Lisle Campus
Position Summary: Assist Head Coach in all aspects of the volleyball program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist in practice (planning, running drills, coaching athletes).
2. Help head coach organize and delegate study table responsibilities.
3. Provide statistical feedback to head coach and student athletes.
4. Ability to drive team bus or rental car to away matches.
5. Foster and cultivate a tradition of excellence and family within the program.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School Graduate/GED Required, Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of coaching high school or collegiate volleyball.
Specific Skills: Detailed oriented, strong oral and written communication, ability to provide leadership to collegiate student-athletes.
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: N/A
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.

Working Conditions: Office and gym environment. Indoor athletics team.
Training: Must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
