The Department of Social Work at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites application for a full-time, 9-month Clinical Assistant Professor position. This is a non-tenure track, one-year position that may be renewed annually (based on needs). Job responsibilities include teaching primarily be in the BSW Program but may teach MSW field seminar courses, and/or provide external field supervision, providing academic advisement to social work majors, helping in recruiting social work majors, serving on university, college and department committees, and providing service to community.
Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: Master’s degree in social work or related discipline area; prior experience teaching in higher education setting.
Management Preference: A Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited institution is required but a doctoral degree in social work is preferred; a minimum of two years post-MSW practice experience; college/university teaching experience; NC licensure in substance use or school social work.
