Job Summary
This position is responsible for organizing, supervising, and coordinating all aspects of the student services programs related to career placement and employment information.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performance Requirements*
- Publicizes job opportunities within the community
- Plans an orderly system for training and preparing students for interviews with prospective employers and for writing resumes
- Interfaces with technical and occupational programs to provide an active job placement program for students in those programs
- Tracks graduates of technical and occupational programs
- Assists in the preparation of a budget and administers that budget as approved
- Serves on committees as directed and attends appropriate professional meetings
- Works creatively with students, staff, and college personnel in developing education and activity programs for students
- Coordinates the development of student programs, which complement the college’s educational goal
- Assists in the planning, developing, and promoting of ways and means of improving student programs
- Maintains effective channels of communication with students, faculty, and staff
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
- Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
- Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years’ working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements
- Experience with the employment function in Human Resources at a college level
- Experience developing education and employment opportunities for an entire collegiate population
- Experience planning, publicizing, and implementing a variety of programs
- Certification as a vocational counselor or teacher
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled using applications and enterprise systems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
- Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
- Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations while exhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
