Job Description

The UMKC Human Resources team expanding! We are seeking a collaborative, detail-oriented recruiter to become a member of our talent management team. This full-time position will focus on designing and delivering efficient, effective and progressive programs and services in the areas of recruiting, onboarding and talent acquisition. Successful candidates will be experienced recruiters with a positive, can-do attitude, and outstanding project management skills, with demonstrated ability to use creative and innovative recruiting methods including networking, career events, social media, internal sourcing, building & nurturing relationships to attract & engage talent. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Search, network, source and recruit diverse talent
• Partner with hiring managers and senior leadership to understand strategic business objectives and organizational design to develop strategies that will meet current and future staffing needs
• Coordinate Full Cycle Recruitment, including assessments, interviews, and offers
• Partner with HR Business Partners to facilitate successful hiring, by ensuring accuracy, understanding department needs/history, and drive hiring process
• Develop and seek out new, innovative sourcing avenues to reach qualified candidates for our diverse hiring needs
• Provide high level expertise for routine and complex problems as they relate to talent acquisition
• Lead trainings, including, but not limited to: New Employee Orientation & Interview and Selection training
• Design and deploy new recruitment strategies and programs
• Participate on University, System and HR committees and task forces
• Attend career fairs and networking events

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years’ experience in developing, delivering, evaluating, and improving recruiting/talent acquisition programs
Experience with PeopleSoft or other applicant tracking systems
Demonstrated consulting and project management skills
Excellent MS Office skills, and comfort with leveraging technology to increase efficiencies
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Human Resources Certification (HRCI and/or SHRM)

Salary

Up to $65,468. Anticipated hiring rate is expected between $55,000 - $65,000, commensurate with education and experience.
