SALARY AND BENEFITS:
The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint
within RVU's compensation plan. RVU's full compensation structure
provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the
finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety
of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge,
experience, education, and credentials.
RVU offers a full benefits package that includes Health, Dental and
Vision insurance, along with 2 weeks accrued paid vacation days per
year, 12 accrued sick days per year, personal days, 13 ½ paid
holidays and 401(K) match up to 7% based on employee's
contribution. A hybrid work model with remote flexibility is

Primary Purpose
We are seeking an experienced and motivated doctoral prepared CRNA
to develop and lead our DNAP program and faculty team. The
curriculum will emphasize innovative and evidence-based nursing
practice to meet the demands of an increasingly complex health care
system. Rocky Vista University is committed to the education of
future CRNAs who are competent and well qualified to deliver safe
and high-quality anesthesia care and pain management services. As
the Program Administrator you will direct the organizational
administration of the CRNA program by providing leadership and
oversight for all aspects of the educational program including, but
not limited to, governance, didactic and clinical curriculum
development, recruitment, and evaluation. You will serve in a
leadership role to supervise and mentor faculty in development of
instructional materials, teaching strategies, and assessment
measures for CRNA courses and students. As a faculty member you
will teach at the graduate level, be involved in course and/or
curriculum development, participate in research/scholarship, and
participate on University committees and/or initiatives.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide leadership and direction for the Doctoral CRNA Program
- Function as supervisor for CRNA faculty, clinical coordinators and adjuncts as appropriate
- Maintain compliance with COA accreditation standards and ongoing accreditation efforts
- Prepare internal and external regulatory and accreditation reports
- Develop and monitor program budget that ensures adequate operating expenses and academic resources
- Develop and refine CRNA curriculum materials within regulatory and professional guidelines
- Development and implementation of policies related to admission, progression, sequencing and remediation of classroom and clinical practice components of the CRNA program
- Oversee recruitment, selection, and enrollment of students
- Oversee off-campus clinical sites and student clinical practice experiences
- Teach at the graduate level in the CRNA program courses
- Mentor students completing the CRNA project
- Monitor CRNA student progression and direct formative and summative evaluation procedures
- Maintain competency within anesthesia practice area
- Service to Rocky Vista University is expected in the form of committees, accreditation activities, etc.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation
- Knowledge of institutional and programmatic accreditation requirements and regulatory standards governing nurse anesthesia educational programs
- Demonstrated expertise in nurse anesthesia knowledge and clinical practice
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong communication skills
- Functions as an effective, active and collegial team member
- Demonstrated computer skills using web-based applications and Microsoft Office Suite
- Competence in use of technology in teaching and distance learning
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution/program (or equivalent)
- Prelicensure doctoral degree with a Nurse Anesthesia major from a regionally accredited institution and nationally accredited nurse anesthesia program (or equivalent)
- Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) role
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent and a nationally accredited nursing program
- Experience as a faculty member in a nursing education program at the College/University level
- Experience with virtual/distance teaching platform
- Experience with simulation in education
- Evidence of scholarship leading to professional presentations, research, and/or publications
- Service in professional organizations (e.g. membership and/or committee involvement)
