Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required
Must possess excellent oral, and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
3-5 years athletics administration experience
Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Appalachian State University a Division I member of the Sun Belt Conference is seeking a candidate for the position of Sr. Associate/Deputy Athletics Director . The successful candidate must be a dynamic leader with integrity, vision, and a commitment to the athletics department core values of Academic Integrity, Social Responsibility, Competitive Excellence, and World-Class experience.
  • Executive Leadership Team Member
  • Sports Administrator for assigned sports – Include head coach supervision, evaluation and game day management
  • Represent Athletics Department on Campus, Sun Belt Conference, and NCAA committees
  • Oversee and monitor athletic department's Title IX compliance
  • Oversee all gender equity, Diversity, and inclusion efforts
  • Assist the Senior Associate Athletics Director with overall student-athlete Health and Wellbeing initiatives
  • Department Liaison to multiple campus units
  • Serve as an Ex-officio member of the Athletics Council.
  • Serve on the Athletics Council Diversity Enhancement Committee.
  • Represent the Athletics Department on the Campus Wide Committees
  • Other duties as assigned by the director of athletics
Suggested Salary Range Commensurate with experience Physical Demands of Position
