Job Description
Assists students in meeting a variety of needs as they navigate their college experience by addressing barriers to wellbeing, academic progress, and student success. Provides direct service, connection to resources, and follow- up to support the success and well-being of the individual student while balancing the health, safety, and welfare needs of the campus community.

Job Duties
  • Serve as a resource, consultant, coach, and liaison regarding concerns for student success/wellbeing
  • Respond to inquiries and UCARE referrals of concern about students
  • Provide outreach and non-clinical intervention, support, & response for a variety of issues
  • Assist with crisis management, critical incident support, and success plan management
  • Develop and implement outreach, communication, coaching, and education strategies
  • Provide solution-focused support to students as they navigate barriers and their college experience
  • Assist students through coaching strategies to enhance development, problem solving, and coping capacities
  • Coordinate appropriate care through campus and community resource connections
  • Assist with predictive analytics for student success and retention initiatives
  • Maintain student records in an electronic database
  • Follow campus, federal, and state policies related to role and privacy laws
  • Respond to after hours or weekend emergencies on a limited basis
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and at least three years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, higher education, or related field.
  • One-year minimum experience in care or case management or coordination of care services.
  • Experience in higher education setting.
  • Awareness of issues affecting today’s student and high-risk populations within higher education.
