What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Manage research project, including experimental design, laboratory implementation, statistics, and publication efforts.
  • Revise manuscript and handle publication resubmission.
  • Support training materials development and website maintenance.
  • Assist with virtual and/or onsite outreach and training.
  • Support LandPKS outreach and communication efforts as time permits.
  • Support UNCCD research efforts as time permits.
What You Should Know
  • This will be a 20-hours per week (0.5 FTE) position.
  • This position reports to the SILC Director (Jason Neff)
  • This position allows for hybrid work but will require some in-person work on campus.
  • The position is housed within CU’s Sustainability Innovation Lab at Colorado (SILC) and is also affiliated with the USDA-ARS Jornada Research Unit in Las Cruces, NM.
  • All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to align with the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement . New employees must provide proof of vaccination or receive a medical or religious exemption within 30 days of employment.
What We Can Offer

The salary range for this position is $61,000-$65,000 per year.

What We Require
  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least four years of post-undergraduate experience in administration and/or communication.
  • Experience on research projects.
  • Experience with training content development.
What You Will Need
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create promotional and marketing materials.
  • Excellent project administration skills with the ability to coordinate, organize, and focus on multi-tasks in an effective manner.

  • Ability to work independently to accomplish tasks and objectives.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with an emphasis or interest in natural resources or science and technology communication.
  • Prior experience in website content maintenance using WordPress or similar.
  • Excellent communication and marketing skills including ability and prior experience in crafting communication materials.
  • Creative and design-oriented.
  • Willingness to work in a technical environment.
  • Sensitivity to and appreciation of cultural, political and geographical differences, with ability to work well with others, both locally and globally.
  • Farming, ranching or gardening experience, or experience working directly with farmers or ranchers in the US or internationally.
  • Foreign language proficiency.
