The Department of Theology at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for a full-time tenure-track professorship at the assistant professor rank in its World Religions World Church area, with a starting date of August 2023. We are particularly interested in candidates who work in comparative theology, world religions, and/or Christianity in Asia, and who can put this work in conversation with Christian theology. The successful candidate will teach both undergraduate and graduate theology courses and pursue an active research agenda. The successful candidate will also be sympathetic to the mission of the University of Notre Dame, which seeks a distinctive educational and scholarly excellence that is founded on its Catholic identity, and to the contribution of the Theology Department within that larger vision.
