Description

The Department of Architecture at Ball State University seeks applicants for a full-time contract faculty position for the academic year 2022-23, starting August 19, 2022.

Major responsibilities include: undergraduate and graduate level architecture design studios as well as support courses in one or more of the following areas: architectural programming; research methods; architectural building technology (methods and materials of architectural construction); environmental systems (passive and active systems); structures; building systems integration; site design; history and theory of urban design

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in architecture or related field from an accredited college or university.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional degree in architecture (Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture); demonstrated ability to teach design studio and related courses in a professional degree program; professional license in architecture or a PhD; professional practice experience; evidence of outstanding design skills and excellence in architectural design work; evidence of contributions to the profession; evidence of the potential for teaching excellence; evidence of the potential for quality scholarship
