The University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invites inquiries, applications, and nominations for the position of Director of the Swain Center for Executive Education and Economic Development (Swain Center). UNCW seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader with a strong background in business development and marketing as well as expertise in educational program design. The ideal candidate will also have leadership experience in a higher education environment with an understanding of shared governance. Additionally, qualified candidates will have proven relationship sales and marketing acumen and an ability to grow a profitable professional business unit that focuses on C-suite decision makers and senior leadership clientele. The Director is expected to be mission driven, committed to public service, able to lead by example, and have an executive presence. The appointee is expected to assume the position by November 2021.

The Swain Center is committed to enhancing the effectiveness of organizations in the region and the state of North Carolina through economic services and executive and professional education. The Center's partnership with the Cameron School of Business is able to leverage the expertise of its faculty in providing industry-university connections in the delivery of products and services to the region.
