The Administrative Specialist will provide administrative support to the Career Services, Student Affairs, Registrar, and Academic Support units. The position will help serve as an initial point of contact for those offices, greeting students, answer the phone, and monitoring and answering emails. The person will assist with scheduling and maintaining calendars; make travel arrangements; complete financial transactions; order supplies; provide support for events and programming. This role will enter student information into tracking systems; upload documents, maintaining strict version control; post job links to websites and email lists; and help coordinate student interviews. Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, may substitute 3-5 years of relevant professional administrative support experience. Experience working in higher education strongly preferred. Job Specific Qualifications
Strong skills in the full Microsoft suite is required. Ability to use and learn web and software tools and systems necessary. Responsibilities
Provide a range of administrative support to the departments in the suite. Serve as one of the first points of contact for students, potential externship and career sites, and others by phone, in person, and on email; must provide high customer service. Office duties may include: answering and managing phone calls; greeting and assisting visitors; creating, completing, and managing documents, including appropriate filing; ordering supplies; reserving space and coordinating meetings.

May work with and on behalf of students in several ways:
- Scheduling On Campus Interviews ( OCI ), and coordinating all steps of that process, which includes managing resumes, scheduling with law firms, reserving interview rooms, and professional and timely communication with all parties.
- Working with student orgs to reserve space, schedule meetings or special events, ensure completion of all necessary approvals and forms, order catering or other supplies, and assist with associated financial forms.
- Provide a first level of information to students on where to find answers and resources for the affiliated departments (Academic and Bar support, Registrar, Career Services, and Student Affairs).

Provide backup to other administrative support professionals in the suite and around the College of Law. Will be cross-trained on web-based and software systems and tools and internal ticketing queues and email listservs. May be asked to help coordinate and staff College events, including Convocation, Commencement, Alumni Weekend, and others, some of which may be held outside of typical business hours.
