The King’s College seeks an experienced Christian academic with a solid record of scholarly research for the position of Provost. King’s is a Christian liberal-arts college located in lower Manhattan. The Provost is the Chief Academic Officer of the College and a member of the President’s Cabinet and Executive Team. All academic programs and certain related faculty matters fall under his or her authority. In consultation with the President, the Provost works directly with the Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees. The Provost takes the lead in developing and implementing academic strategy to maintain the College’s academic standards and contribute to the fulfillment of its mission. The Provost oversees Middle States accreditation and licensing with the State of New York (NYSED), while managing a team of Academic Affairs staff members. Additional duties include aiding in the recruitment and professional development of faculty members and oversight and periodic review of the College’s core curriculum. The Provost is expected to support the Christian mission of the College and affirm its Statement of Faith.
