POSITION SUMMARY
The Emergency Aid Coordinator develops, implements, and provides operational oversight of the Emergency Aid Programs supporting student financial stability and mobility. The incumbent assists with program, fiscal, and administrative needs. The Coordinator provides support to Student Advocacy and Financial Stability staff, builds and maintains collaborative relationships within the College and with community partners, and monitors and ensures compliance and reporting requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Program Coordination
Coordinates the logistics and delivery of the College’s emergency aid programs. Delivers individual and group services, presentations, and other programming in-person and online. Facilitates connections to other college and community support services and establishes follow-up activities. Assists with developing and implementing an effective marketing and media relations program to promote awareness of emergency aid programs and services. Identifies program adaptations and improvements. Convenes and facilitates meetings and engages College and community partners to build connections and referral strategies, and to collaboratively achieve the milestones and goals of the emergency aid program.

Creates program tools, policies, and procedures for use by the College and/or partner agencies. Develops and implements educational opportunities for both students, college employees, and community partners focused on basic need insecurities, financial stability, and economic mobility. Works with the Grants Office, the Foundation, and other entities, to secure and manage additional funding for aid programs.

Engages in projects for student financial stability and economic mobility emergency aid projects. Coordinates the day-to-day activities of program delivery and serves as a point of contact in the CARES Center. Assists in the development of goals and measures for the program and actively monitors and reports on progress. Promotes programs to students, college, and community partners. Maintains regular communication with Columbus State leadership and partner agencies.

Student Success and Community Building
Works to meet the College’s retention, graduation, transfer, and equity goals in alignment with the College’s mission, vision, and strategic plan. Understands the diverse and unique needs of our students and the College’s corresponding desired outcomes. Develops program services to support students’ financial stability and economic mobility, and advance student success and the College overall. Integrates program initiatives and supports throughout the student experience.

Utilizes a holistic, cross-functional, and collaborative approach, and actively develops a working relationship with College and community partners and stakeholders to reduce barriers and positively impact student success. Stays current on basic needs, financial stability, and social services research, practice, and programming as well as trends in technology and service delivery models.

Fiscal and Administration
Assists with program budget planning and pursuing program funding opportunities. Tracks and advises leadership of necessary project expenditures and monitors program spending, including adherence to any grant requirements. Conducts assessments of student needs, and collects, evaluates, and reports data on program services. Tracks and utilizes data to make suggestions and to deliver insights into program strategy. Keeps accurate records, completes and maintains required documentation, including contact reports, fund distribution, status reports, and grant-related paperwork and contracts/MOU’s.

Maintains confidentiality of student records, and maintains personnel files, financial data, and other sensitive information. Utilizes student information system and other computer systems/software to access and enter student information, to log documents and other information, to perform data entry, to develop and maintain departmental forms, resources, correspondence, records, statistics, reports and to complete other projects and job functions.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages multiple assignments of varying complexity and meets tight timelines and deadlines with the ability to adapt to changing needs of the College and business partners. Ensures College name and image is perceived positively by external as well as internal audience/stakeholders. Hours may include working outside of a normal work week schedule as needed to meet workload demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into a computer. The employee regularly sits for extended periods, and occasionally stands and walks. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Vision demands include close, relatively detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. With multiple conference spaces as well as meetings across the campus, the employee regularly walks outside to other buildings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, College Student Personnel, Social Work, Education, Business Management, or a closely related field; three (3) years of professional experience, including managing relationships with multiple, diverse partners and grant/project ownership. *An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.

State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain accessto work site(s).
