The Department of Chemistry at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in computational/theoretical Physical Chemistry. The Department seeks an individual with a strong commitment to research and teaching. Preference will be given to applicants with interests in molecular scale theoretical methods, such as first-principles computation, molecular dynamics simulations, or machine learning.

 

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field by the date of hire, and post-Ph.D. research experience. A successful candidate will demonstrate research productivity and have strong potential for extramural funding.  The ability to strengthen or expand the existing areas of research at UWM with experience in teaching is preferred. 

 

Position responsibilities will include developing an independent extramurally funded research program, establishing collaborations both within the Department and across campus, and teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in all areas of physical chemistry.
