College of Engineering and Computing: Director of Finance, Personnel and Operations in the College of Engineering and Computing (CEC) Dean's office, includes managing financial resources, supervising staff, managing all aspects of personnel issues for the College, providing management and oversight of the College's physical facilities and space utilization, providing primary support for the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computing and supplemental support for Associate/Assistant Deans and CEC leadership.

The Director of Finance, Personnel and Operations will be responsible for Financial and Budgetary Management, Human Resources Management, Facility Operations oversight, Administrative Leadership in CEC.  This position manages and oversees CEC financial resources and is responsible for the establishment, implementation and management of the divisional account budgets; Manages the administrative processes for the department’s human resource matters, such as salary increments, evaluations, professional development plans, hiring plan proposals, and accurate record retention; Provides management and oversight of the College's physical facilities and space utilization. Acts as divisional point of contact for the CEC complex; coordinates all building and grounds daily maintenance; Serves as a primary representative and liaison between the University and the CEC and within the division on financial, operational, human resources and physical facility issues.

Required: Bachelor’s degree and eight years of professional experience in a similar role or 10+ years of experience assisting a high-level executive; ability to provide executive support to the Dean in a professional manner, and to work regularly with Assistant and Associate Deans and Department Chairs; proficient in all aspects of financial management; excellent verbal/written communication skills, Microsoft office package, interpersonal skills, problem solving, and analytical skills; ability to exercise discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality in all matters; commitment to quality, innovation, and process improvement, with an emphasis on collaborative teamwork and high standards of customer service; ability to work under pressure; flexibility as a self-starter who takes initiative and accountability for projects; sound judgement, and the ability to make independent decisions with little supervision; high level of organizational skills and knowledge of office procedures and protocol; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and to respond with precision and accuracy to deadlines. Position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.

Consideration may be given to candidates with a master's degree and knowledge of Miami’s systems, policies and procedures; pertinent supervisory experience.
