Purpose of Position
The Associate Director for Clinical Coordination & LGBTQA+ Initiatives is a full-time, 12 month position created to support the center’s mission: “To provide services that help NKU students, faculty, and staff achieve and maintain optimal levels of physical and emotions functioning.” This position will assist in overseeing the clinical training and supervision of interns, as well as focusing on counseling and providing services to LGBTQA+ students. This position will provide direct counseling, assessment, and focused treatment to students and is involved in outreach, training, and consultation services. This position will work with the Director to provide strategic planning and oversight of day-to-day operations as needed. Primary Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing the clinical training and supervision of interns. This includes the selection, training, supervision, and evaluation of clinical trainees in accordance with the program guidelines.

Conduct intake assessments and develop/implement treatment plans related to mental health and/or substance use. Provide individual, couple or group psychotherapy, as well as crisis services to NKU students.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with relevant departments and office on campus- specifically LGBTQ Programs & Services.

Participate in facilitation of educational and preventative outreach opportunities on campus.

Development and strategic planning for Counseling Services department alongside the Director.

Attend weekly clinical staffing/staff meetings as well as any staff development workshops/retreats and stay abreast of current research and practices. Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field required.
5 years of experience, preferably with at least 2 years in a university counseling center or private practice setting preferred. Experience and/or training in clinical supervision, as well as administrative duties.
