Purpose of Position
This position provides information and analysis to support decision making at Northern Kentucky University. The incumbent is expected to complete data collection and federal, state and institutional reporting tasks and projects related to any aspect of NKU’s mission.

The areas of likely work assignments include the reporting of data in the following areas: recruiting, enrollment, retention, degree completion, staffing, civic engagement, faculty workload, facilities utilization finance, institutional performance on strategic metrics, budget, and student costs. The incumbent will draw information from university databases, state and national datasets, survey results, statistical models, and other sources of factual information. Primary Responsibilities
• Coordinate reports to external agencies of state and federal government each semester
• Produce standard informational reports each semester (enrollment, degrees, academic profiles, staffing, etc.)
• Respond to ad hoc information requests.
• Maintain awareness of current conditions and emerging trends in education, government, and society.
• Conduct literature reviews to identify ideas and information useful to NKU’s purposes.
• Use query/reporting software to select data from NKU databases and information systems.
• Write analytical research reports using concise narrative text.
• Recommend comprehensive, systemic solutions to emerging needs and existing problems.
• Make rational, information-based recommendations.
• Develop sample surveys, conduct statistical analyses of responses.
• Develop and lead large-scale research projects.
• Participate in the office’s annual planning and research agenda-setting activity. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in social sciences, educational research, informatics, advanced statistics, or other related field.

Two years of experience in higher education reporting, research, and/or analysis is required. Will consider related business experience in lieu of higher education experience.

• Strong project management skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to present proposals and solutions to problems that are based on the most valid and relevant information.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to listen effectively and to understand complex issues and situations is essential.
• Experience with business/technical writing is a plus.
• Prior experience with Microsft Access and Excel is required, advanced skills are preferred.
• Power BI (or Tableau), SQL, and survey software (Qualtrics) experience is preferred. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree Preferred Education Master's Degree Minimum Experience 2 years Salary tbd Pay Grade S71
