About the Opportunity:
Northeastern University's new Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (W-IoT) has established an Associate Research Scientist position dealing with cutting edge research in wireless technologies and Internet of Things.

Responsibilities:
Performs basic or applied research in an area of considerable scope and complexity. Plans independent research and analyzes and publishes the results. Prepares grant proposals. Provides functional and administrative supervision over supporting research staff and transfers technical and statistical expertise. Responsible for purchasing and budget administration. Attends meetings and may present research. Some use cases are export controlled and potential to work on classified projects after completion of training and certification.

Qualifications:
Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in electrical or computer engineering or related discipline; must have progressively responsible experience that demonstrates the ability to plan and execute research; Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills are essential, as are time-management and organizational skills. Good written and verbal communication skills and organizational talents are expected. Proposal preparations for sponsored research funding, research experience involving experiments, and project management experience are pluses.
