Classification Title: Administrator II

Job Summary:
The Associate Athletic Director for Equity and Inclusion (AADEI) will serve on the Athletics Department's senior management team. This AADEI will oversee the full range of Department human resources activities, provide assigned sport supervision, and will lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts for the Department in coordination with the University's Office of Inclusive Excellence. The AADEI will serve as the Deputy Title IX Officer and will work in collaboration with the University's Office of Equal Opportunity and Title IX Coordinator. The AADEI will serve as Sacramento State's Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee as required by the NCAA, and will serve Sacramento State as the primary contact to the NCAA as it relates to NCAA inclusion matters. Provide strategic leadership, planning and oversight of the implementation of the department's gender equity & diversity/Title IX plan.

FLSA: MPP - This position is defined in the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) of the California State University. It is excluded from the collective bargaining process and is exempt from overtime provisions of FLSA. This position is covered by health benefits.
Classification Salary Range: $4,583 - $13,750 monthly

Required Qualifications:
Education:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Experience:
2. 3 or more years of progressive administrative experience at the NCAA Division I level, or similar experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3. Demonstrated ability to lead others.
4. Ability to coordinate work assignments and evaluate results.
5. Strong written/verbal communication with a high level of interpersonal skills and, ability to display sound judgement while operating in a flexible and professional manner.
6. Ability to present and convey ideas and information to individuals and groups of varying levels including students, professionals, management, etc.
7. Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task while exercising a high level of creativity and initiative
8. Ability to promote the athletic program effectively and contribute to the mission, goals, and objectives of the program/department.
9. Ability to work weekends, evenings and travel.
10. Ability to establish positive relationships with students, student-athletes, faculty, staff, the campus community, and the community at large.
11. Proficient with software systems such as Microsoft, CMS, Google applications (gmail and calendar) and Outlook.
12. Proficiency in spelling, grammar, punctuation and proofreading.
13. Knowledge of initiatives involving diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and athletics.

Preferred Qualifications:
14. Master’s degree.15. 5 or more years experience in administration at the NCAA Division I level.16. Experience in overseeing sport programs.17. Experience leading initiatives and/or serving on a committee including members from multiple departments, programs and/or institutions.18 . Working knowledge of supervising personnel and hiring practices within a unionized environment.
