Job Summary
Provide tier-2 level support and training for the University's learning and instructional technologies to students, faculty, and staff. Assist faculty and students with using online and educational technology tools and to enhance their teaching and learning experience. As an LTS Specialist, this position must be capable and willing to work both independently and collaboratively with other academic professionals in a high impact and energetic environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of
the University
- Willing to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Stay abreast of current news, system information, problems,
changes and updates relevant to the campus community
- Learn fundamental operations of commonly used software,
hardware, and other equipment
- Provide tier-2 level support for the campus LMS and
integrations
- Provide tier-2 level support for Google Apps and Microsoft
Office Apps
- Effectively plan, prepare, and present training sessions,
workshops, and seminars on a variety of technology
topics
- Assist with design, development and maintenance of customized
documentation and training
- Deliver scheduled and just-in-time training
- Creates online training modules for faculty, staff and
students
- Responsible for assisting faculty, staff, and students with
questions about any supported learning technologies in a
professional and courteous manner to the best of his/her
ability
- Maintaining appropriate records, reports, and other
information, as required
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements - Bachelors degree
Required Experience - One (1) year experience in higher education
environment
- One (1) year experience creating training material and
providing formal training sessions
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Google
Applications
- Demonstrated support experience for Microsoft Office Suite and
Google
Applications
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience - Experience using Desire2Learn Learning Management
System
- Experience creating online training programs
Additional Preferred Qualifications - Working knowledge of streaming media technologies
Proposed Salary
$50,000 - $52,303
