About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Director is a member of the Student Accounts Office in Student Financial Services. This position requires an energetic, innovative, decisive, student focused individual. The Assistant Director will assist with the administration and management of all Student Account functions.

Responsibilities:
General responsibilities include: supervision of administrative and student staff, all customer service engagement, system maintenance, processing student invoicing, 3rd Party Billing, managing and processing student refunds, managing the holds process, managing and maintaining all payment processes and systems for a billion+ dollars per year for US campuses. The Assistant Director will also engage in the management of multicurrency invoicing, payments and systems for Canadian campuses and any other future international Northeastern campus locations. The Assistant Director will be a liaison for campus partners, including Treasury, NUSHP, all colleges, Finance, Registrar and Financial Aid. The Assistant Director will work with outside vendors including Flywire, Financial Force, Ellucian and others. This position will work with outside collection agencies, including negotiating and deciding any settlement offers from students. The Assistant Director will represent Northeastern at Open Houses, Student Welcome Days and any other events required.

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years experience in Student Accounts

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Strong management skills with the ability to implement and manage multiple projects

  • Knowledge of Student A/R performance metrics

  • Excellent technical skills

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Must be decisive and results oriented

  • Creative thinking and solutions oriented

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment

  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment.
