Job Summary

Reporting to the Campus President, the Director of Campus Relations serves as the primary liaison for incoming requests, coordinating with and on behalf of the president.

This leadership position is responsible for overseeing proper functioning of the activities of the president’s office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performance Requirements
  • Provides staff support for the president
  • Provides confidential counsel to the president on matters related to campus relations
  • Triages requests from campus, college, and community constituents; performs, directs, routes, or facilitates related follow-up as appropriate
  • Ensures seamless coordination of the work of the President’s Office; relies on proactive, accurate, responsive and collaborative communication with constituents at all levels as a key coordination tactic
  • Serves as primary liaison for the President’s Office with the Public Relations, Marketing, and Communications Office to coordinate and ensure delivery of communication support needed for the office
  • Provides oversight and coordination for all internal and external events (not associated with academic programming)
  • Serves as primary liaison between campus and Real Estate and Facilities
  • Works with the president to coordinate and respond to external facility rental requests
  • Provides support for campus leadership team meetings and activities, which may include developing agendas and performing follow up on action items
  • Researches, compiles, and effectively summarizes matters for the purposes of effectuating quick and accurate decision making by the president; provides written briefings when appropriate
  • Advises the president on key opportunities for campus engagement and visibility; partners with office team to ensure president’s schedule reflects desired level of engagement
General Supervision and Management
  • Serves as an administrative generalist to interpret and direct next steps on the development and routing of documents such as memorandums of understanding, procurement documents, etc.
  • Manages all budgetary and financial planning for the president’s office departmental budget, including all expense management, budgeting, project/special initiative funding, and compliance in conjunction with appropriate financial policies
Service Excellence
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation and creativity and service to the College
  • Attends the workplace regularly and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of the College*Performs other related tasks as required

Required Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensures

• Master’s degree
• Five (5) years of proven, successful administrator or related experience

• Doctorate degree
• Experienced in working with multilingual and multicultural communities

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
• Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
• Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice and existing regulations
• Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
• Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
