Job Summary
The Assistant/Associate Director of Regional Recruitment is responsible for supervising the Regional Admissions Counselors. This position works with the regional Admissions Counselors to develop and oversee their recruitment plans, daily schedules, and assignment of tasks as needed for the Office of Admissions. The Assistant/Associate Director of Regional Recruitment, under the guidance of the Executive Director of Admissions creates the out-of-state and regional recruitment plan, provides guidance to the modification of recruitment/outreach communication pieces, which include; emails, publications, and text messages. The Assistant/Associate Director of Regional Recruitment will also have a recruitment territory (feeder high schools within the state of Georgia and some out-of-state territories).
Responsibilities
Supervision - 30
Supervises, assigns tasks and provides support and guidance for the Regional Admissions Counselors, including analyzing applicant reports of the Counselors to guide them in recruitment efforts, and teaching and utilizing data and trends to assist the Counselors in creating a recruitment plan for specific geographic territories.
Traveling - 30
Travels to National, Georgia PROBE, and other college fairs in
order to meet prospective students and their families. Answers
questions from students and families. Schedules, coordinates and
conducts high school visits and speaking engagements. Composes
appropriate correspondence for follow- up with prospective
students.
Reporting - 15
Data management and reporting - Assumes additional responsibilities
and duties assigned by the Executive Director of Admissions and
Assistant VP for Enrollment Management.
Coordinating - 20
Coordination of recruitment travel and outreach for prospective
undergraduate students.
Other - 5
Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of
Admissions.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
Four years of experience.

Qualifications
Knowledge of university admissions requirements. Effective
communication skills. Effective organizational skills. Ability to
use independent judgment in making admissions decisions. Strong
interpersonal skills, excellent written and communication skills,
and polished public speaking skills. An appreciation and
understanding for marketing and sales from an educational
perspective. Familiarity with computers and software, especially
the BANNER Student Information System. Familiarity with a CRM.
Proven driving skills, a good sense of direction, and a solid
familiarity with the state's highway, roadway, and interstate
system.
Supervisory experience is highly recommended.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Ability to multi-task and assign multiple employees projects &
work with employees to meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to use various reporting systems (ex. CRM).
Ability to review and interpret data trends for metro Atlanta
region and out-of-state markets to offer suggestions on strategic
travel.
Ability to create, edit, and revise communication pieces that cater
to wide variety of prospective students, parents, College
Counselors, and colleagues.
KNOWLEDGE
Excellent knowledge of Excel.
SKILLS
Excellent planning skills.
Proper communication etiquette.
