Position Summary:

This position will primarily see patients in the outpatient clinical setting and will also be involved in research and teaching component in the Department of Dermatology.

Principal Duties:

Medical dermatology is the primary duty of this position. The successful candidate will have regularly scheduled weekly outpatient clinical sessions in Dermatology and elsewhere as needed for optimal patient care. The selected physician will also develop independent clinical research with an emphasis on underserved patient populations. Additional expectations are: teaching and supervision of residents and medical students, by bedside teaching, lectures, journal club or other teaching venues; weekly attendance at department grand rounds; participation in departmental governance and service; and, share in call schedule.

This position will participate in professional, public, and university service. The successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members. The successful candidate will also teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Dermatology.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Successful completion of residency in General Dermatology. Candidates for Associate and full Professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.

License or Certificate:

Wisconsin medical license, DEA certifications, credentialed with UW Health managed care plans, credentialing and staff privileges at UW Hospital, Meriter Hospital and VA Middleton must be completed by start date.
