The Associate Registrar for Academic and Student Services assists the University Registrar in the day-to-day operations of the Registrar’s office and engages in operational assessment of policies, processes, service improvements and the management of the Student Service division of the Office of the Registrar. The Associate Registrar for Academic and Student Services directs the staff and work involved in management of the Student Services functions supported by the Registrar’s Office; maintains the academic catalog and academic calendar. Collaborates with the Associate Registrar for Systems and Technology to ensure functional aspects of projects meet business requirements. Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, Masters degree in Liberal Arts, Education, Business, Information Studies or related field preferred. Minimum of 5-10 years experience in higher education. Demonstrated commitment in providing high quality services and ability to work in a collaborative, results-oriented environment. Job Specific Qualifications
Experience with Student Information Systems: PeopleSoft preferred; experience with catalog production; experience with catalog management systems preferred; experience with management of complex staffing; experience with class and class room scheduling. Experience with relational databases, data analysis, and project management; Customer Service experience is required. Responsibilities
In coordination with the University Registrar, assist in day-to-day operations of the Office of the Registrar including oversight of the office in the absence of the Registrar. Serves as a resource and counsel to constituencies both inside and outside of the Office of the Registrar. Collaborates with and counsels the schools and colleges, Associate and Assistant Deans, and student records staff on various issues related to student and faculty including, but not limited to: collecting missing grades and course/classroom schedule.

Oversee Academic and Student Services functions of the Office of the Registrar to include catalog production, curriculum management, course and classroom scheduling, final exams, grading, registration, enrollment verification, grade changes, withdrawals and drops, IUT and the maintenance of OnBase and Office of the Registrar Forms. Works with outside institutions and third party vendors, student and other constituents related to transcripts.

Oversee and manage Office of the Registrar communications efforts including, but not limited to academic calendars, academic rules and catalog, publications, the website, and social media. Communication with the University community to include Faculty, students and staff. Serves as lead liaison with Central Marketing and Communications.

Develop and implement in collaboration with the University Registrar a strategic plan to ensure effective management of resources and services. Collaborate with the Associate Registrar for Systems and Technology on projects, planning and determination of business needs and resources.

Hire, train, and supervise staff, providing direction, coaching, rewards, and recognition. Oversight of the Office of the Registrar in the absence of the University Registrar.
