Job Description

This Graduate Assistant Supports the Center for Entrepreneurship Center and the Center of Work Force Development with tasks, as requested. Reports to Executive Director of Entrepreneurship. Will assist with marketing and public relations.
Maintains strict confidentiality in regard to all student and office records

This is a non-teaching graduate assistantship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
  • Provide marketing assistance
  • Community Engagement
  • Reporting
  • Event Promotion (Preparing and distributing marketing materials)
  • Website management
  • Client Correspondence
  • Record Keeping
  • Basic office functions
Required Qualifications
  • Degree-seeking graduate student at Missouri Western State University
  • Maintain a minimum of 3.0 GPA – not on academic probation.
  • Enrolled in at least five (5) credit hours per semester
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with the public and in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with Standard English grammar and punctuation
  • Flexible schedule
  • Good typing, organizational, and computer skills
  • Professional image coupled with good telephone voice, sales personality, and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills; MS Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills for interacting with current and potential graduate student, faculty and staff
Preferred Qualifications

Background in marketing or graphic design (preferred)

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally
