Position Summary:
The Office of Sustainability promotes the integration of sustainability principles and ideas into University operations, curriculum and research, and works to increase campus engagement by connecting students, faculty, and staff with initiatives that promote a culture of environmental and social sustainability.

The Manager will provide leadership to the campus community and act as organizational strategist for sustainability in order to position Eastern Kentucky University as a leader in sustainability in higher education. The incumbent will serve to develop and implement campus-wide initiatives and programs that promote sustainability, including sustainability plans, policies and specific resource conservation strategies as appropriate.

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Architecture, Design, Education or related field.

Minimum Experience:
Three years of related experience is required.

Minimum Licensure and Certification:
LEED AP, or similar certification desirable but not required

• Knowledge about a wide array of sustainability issues;
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse partners;
• Ability to communicate clearly in multiple formats and to audiences of differing sizes and makeups;
• Ability to identify, acquire, and analyze pertinent data to drive decisions and recommendations;
• Ability to Prioritize assignments and balance multiple responsibilities;
• Comfortable leading or supporting initiatives as the situation requires;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment;
