Position Title Aircraft Mechanic I - A&P Working Title Aircraft Mechanic I - A&P Department 210251-Aviation Maintenance Pay Rate $18-$25/hour commensurate with experience FTE 1.0 FLSA Nonexempt Position Number 997482 Classification CJS11 Special Instructions to Applicants:
This is a full-time benefits eligible position. Benefits include competitive salary; health, dental, vision, life insurance, AD & D, long-term disability; 3 weeks paid vacation per year; 3 weeks of accrued sick leave per year; 13 paid holidays; retirement; and generous education assistance for employee, spouse and dependent children taking classes at UCM .

To diagnose, adjust, service, repair, inspect, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems and return to service UCM aircraft and public aircraft.
Maintains shop and ground support equipment. Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Formal training (specify) Other Education & Formal Training
Three years career Technical Training to include Certification in Airframe & Powerplant. Computer Skills Experience
Two (2) years general aviation aircraft mechanic apprentice as an aircraft mechanic.
Private Pilot ratings preferred Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Subject to random drug testing, Driver's license, Missouri license required Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
Pre-employment drug testing, random drug testing throughout employment and mandatory post-accident drug testing required.
FAA Airframe and Power plant License required.
Private Pilot license preferred.
Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Sensory abilities: special vision and/or hearing requirements (specify), Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Mental skills, including concentration, memory, complex decision making, analytical thinking, and/or conceptual thinking.
Maintain confidentiality.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, and atmospheric, dynamics, and mechanical, electrical, structures and processes.
Specify sensory abilities: Physical & Environmental Factors: Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to heights, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 50 Lbs Other Physical & Environmental Factors Lifting weight Special Working Conditions: On call/standby work required, Irregular work hours Other Special Working Conditions Ability to Keyboard No keyboarding test required.
