The University of Washington Information School is at an exciting juncture, as we broaden and deepen our Information Systems research profile and our Master of Information Management (MSIM) Program. This position will contribute to excellence in research, teaching, and service in a diverse, intellectually stimulating, multi-disciplinary environment with an emphasis on social impact.

Information Management is an area of study with the purpose of designing, developing, managing, and using information with insight and innovation to support decision making and create value for individuals, organizations, communities, and societies. While all areas of information management are welcome, we are particularly interested in scholars who can complement iSchool expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Information Systems
  • Enterprise Systems
  • Green Information Systems
  • Information Systems in Healthcare
  • Social Impact of Information Systems
  • Product Management
  • Digital Transformation

The position is a full-time 9-month tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2022. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.


Applicants must have a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent by date of appointment in Information Systems or related field. Candidates who are pending conferral can be appointed on an acting basis.
