JOB TITLE SUMMARY
Job Title: COVID Intake Processor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Time Type: Temporary, flexible scheduling with part-time and full-time options
Job Summary
The COVID intake processor is responsible for gathering information and identifying members of the university with potential exposure to COVID-19. This position calls students positive for the virus to determine if additional exposures exist and based on this information initiates isolation or quarantine protocols.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Quickly responds to all submitted tickets and decides proper course of action needed
- Makes calls, sends emails, and asks pertinent questions as required for contact tracing
- Maintains filing systems and utilizes basic word processing, database, and spreadsheet skills
- Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary
- Coordinates with residential life, food services, and other departments for all quarantine and isolation cases
- Responds to inquiries, questions, and tickets in an timely and efficient manner
- Models, supports and holds others accountable to university values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity and teamwork
- Properly investigates all positive cases and asks questions to help individuals remember and identify anyone they have been in close contact with
- Educates students, parents, and employees on guidelines, processes, and policies related to COVID-19.
- Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior relevant work experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of CDC guidelines as they related to COVID-19
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Highly organized, motivated and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong professional integrity
- Ability to problem solve, use good judgment, think critically, and communicate effectively
- Basic research skills
- Ability to learn and apply institutional policies and procedures
- General office conditions
- Flexible virtual work options may be provided
- Ability to work effectively at a computer for up to eight hours daily
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Regular attendance is a necessary and essential function
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends
