BASIC FUNCTION:

The Department of Biology and Biomedical Sciences is seeking an individual to teach in a Biology course with a focus on the interdependence and tension between humans and the environment for the fall of 2021 and possible thereafter. The candidate should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The candidate should have an ability to communicate effectively, to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, and to work collaboratively with students and faculty. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching that speaks to and motivates undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. This is a nonmajors course and course materials will be provided.


Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must have an earned a masters degree or higher in a related area of biology by time of hire.
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory.
