Community College of Philadelphia is seeking to fill a Director, Women's Outreach and Advocacy Center position. The Director, Women's Outreach and Advocacy Center provides leadership and advocacy in the development of programs, services, and research that addresses the needs, interests, and concerns of women students at the College. The Director oversees the operation of the Women's Outreach and Advocacy Center and ensures its growth and development as a resource and referral center for women. This position also works with internal and external partners to enhance the campus climate for women (with an emphasis on gender and equity).

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Any and all degrees must be from a recognized institutional accreditor.

• Three (3) years of relevant experience in an academic or community setting required.

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational programs that address women's issues required.

• Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills required.

• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.

• Prior supervisory experience required.

• Prior experience managing budgets required.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative required.

• Experience working with diverse groups of women required.

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate women's issues to diverse audiences required.

• Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration required.

• Knowledge of women's issues and demonstrated experience promoting issues related to women in an academic setting required.


Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Women's Studies, Counseling, Social Work, Education or a closely related field preferred.

• Current experience working in a women's center and or multicultural center preferred.

• Higher education experience preferred.

• Banner experience preferred.
