Position Summary:
Susquehanna University invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to start in August 2022. An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in psychology with research interests in behavioral neuroscience is required. Preference will be given to candidates whose research involves rodents. (Our rodent research facility is federally compliant for rats.) Demonstrated success or evidence of potential to excel in teaching and advising undergraduates is essential, as is ongoing scholarly productivity and institutional service. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Behavioral Neuroscience and associated lab course, and should be prepared to teach research methods, introductory psychology, introduction to neuroscience, our senior capstone course, and other courses consistent with departmental needs and candidate interests. Standard three-course load per semester. The Department of Psychology strongly values faculty-student collaborative research and mentoring of students for practica, internships, and admission to graduate programs.

Required Qualifications:
An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in psychology with research interests in behavioral neuroscience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates whose research involves rodents.
