Special Instructor in Philosophy - Logic

The Department of Philosophy at Oakland University invites applications for a Special Instructor position, beginning August 15, 2022. Area of specialization: Logic. Areas of competence: some of the following areas: philosophy of logic, informal logic, cognitive science, philosophy of mind, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science. Teaching load is six courses/year. We are especially interested in candidates prepared to teach sections of "Introduction to Logic", "Introduction to Symbolic Logic", and "Advanced Symbolic Logic". Candidates must demonstrate experience with, and a commitment to, diversity and inclusion. Special Instructor is a full-time position with the potential to earn job security through the review process.PhD in Philosophy, by August 15, 2022, is required for appointment at the rank of Special Instructor.
