Position Description

Manages and directs the day to day operations of a research center/institute or medium sized department. Plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of the center/institute/department. Develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities.

Major/Essential Functions

Represent TTUHSC School of Health Professions Office of Admissions and Student Affairs to prospects, applicants, current students, SHP team members, and institutional partners to foster student engagement, student success, achieve enrollment and retention goals in alignment with the mission and goals of the school and university.

Oversee the day to day processes of the SHP Office of Admissions and Student Affairs team to include the following areas: Application Systems, Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach, Enrollment Management, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Strategies, Student Affairs and Marketing. Ensure operational efficiencies, provide quality customer service and information, and ensure successful execution of processes and projects for all SHP programs, current and prospective students.

Provide project management guidance for OASA leadership team. Monitors project scope, implementation, schedule, timeline and ensures alignment with the mission of the OASA, SHP and university.

Lead collaborative OASA planning and workgroup teams to support current initiatives, processes and goals of the OASA team; and develop new, efficient, and emerging processes and strategies to support the mission and of the school and university.

Serve on various TTUHSC and SHP committees. Represents the school at various state and national associations.

Assist with the management of major communication assets and reports including the SHP website, official publications, social platforms, annual performance and projection reports, and various student (prospects, current and alumni) data.

Assist with OASA personnel operations.

Maintain an extensive knowledge of SHP, TTUHSC, SACSCOC, THECB and the Texas Education Code policies and requirements. Maintain awareness of various SHP program accreditation requirements.

Contribute to the overall success of the University and SHP by performing other duties as assigned.

Maintain the ability to work well with team members, faculty, staff and students while providing excellent customer service.

Lead the Admissions and Student Affairs team with the TTUHSC shared values of kindhearted, integrity, one team, visionary and beyond service.

Maintain strict confidentiality for applicants, current students, faculty and staff.

Observe work safety rules.
