Position Description

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions

Serves as the institution’s designated “Campus Safety Survey Administrator,” as defined by the Department of
Education and will serve as the liaison to the Dept of Ed.

Coordinates the institution’s Clery Act Compliance program, which includes developing and implementing TTUHSC's Clery Compliance policies and procedures, programs and activities on all TTUHSC campuses and Chair the Clery Compliance Committee.

Assists in gathering crime and disciplinary referral data from various internal and external sources, such as the Office of Student Affairs, Texas Tech Police Department, local law enforcement agencies, and the state police

Maintains Clery Act Compliance files, documents and records in accordance with federal recommendations and guidelines.

Works with the appropriate TTUHSC Departments, Offices, and individuals to identify all Campus Security Authorities for the institution, maintains a list of CSAs for each year, and ensures that all CSAs are trained annually.

Submits annual crime statistics to the Department of Education, as required, prepares, publishes, and distributes the Annual Security Report.

Ensures notices announcing the availability of the Annual Security Report are properly developed and available to current and prospective students and employees, and others.

Coordinates with Faculty & Safety Service and other appropriate departments, offices, and committees to maintain an accurate and complete listing of all property owned, leased, controlled or occupied by TTUHSC that may be Clery Geography.

Collaborates with appropriate departments, offices, and individuals to ensure Clery compliance with emergency operations, timely warnings, and emergency notifications.

Ensure the institution maintains accurate records on security awareness and crime prevention programs and presentations along with the programming required by the Violence Against Women Act and related regulations.

Provides training of campus security authorities. Encourages CSAs to report crime statistics they have been made aware of as soon as possible to aid in determining whether there may be a continual threat situation.

Works with various institutional offices to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Sexual Assault Victim’s Bill of Rights, and the Drug Free Schools and Safe Campuses regulations.
