Major/Essential Functions

The Department of Rehabilitation Sciences in the School of Health Professions at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The primary appointment will be in the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at the Lubbock Campus with opportunities to contribute to the on-line post-professional OTD program.

Qualifications:

  • Earned post-professional doctoral degree is preferred; candidates with earned entry-level OTD or currently pursuing post-professional doctoral degree will be considered.

  • Licensed occupational therapist, or license eligible, in the state of Texas.

  • Must demonstrate integrity, professional maturity, commitment and accountability according to the five values described in TTUHSC’s Values-Based Culture: One Team, Kind Hearted, Integrity, Visionary, and Beyond Service.
    The ideal candidate will possess the qualities of an excellent educator and practitioner with a wide range of clinical experience in a variety of physical rehabilitation settings.

    Responsibilities include teaching and mentoring students as well as contributing to the mission of the School of Health Professions through professional service and scholarship/research. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
