Major/Essential Functions
The Division of Ambulatory General Pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Lubbock is looking for an outstanding pediatrician to join their division. Responsibilities include direct patient care in the general pediatric ambulatory clinics, with the predominant site being in Southwest Lubbock. Additionally, the pediatrician will provide inpatient care in the family care nursery within the normal rotational schedule of other general ambulatory pediatricians and coverage up to twice a month at our rural school-based clinic approximately 60 miles away. Besides clinical service, there is an expectation for participation in educating future health care providers, conducting research, participating in quality improvement, and engaging in advocacy in settings where normally developing children and children with special health care needs receive high value comprehensive, team-based care that is flexible and responsive to new health care delivery models.
Qualified candidates must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Pediatrics. Once Board Certified, it is the expectation, that one would enter maintenance of certification. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical Non-Tenure track at the academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
*In regards to relocation reimbursement, this is only for out of Lubbock county residency.
