Major/Essential Functions
Applicants for Assistant/Associate level. Rank and Salary are dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Primary duty will be to teach graduate level courses and provide clinical supervision in an online setting for the Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling Program. Other duties will include advising students, curriculum development, and engaging in scholarly development. Specific teaching assignments are dependent on department needs and individual expertise. Candidate must be licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) or license eligible in the state of Texas within one year of hire. May be considered for higher rank, dependent upon experience. Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Counselor Education, or closely related field. Candidates must be licensed as a professional counselor (LPC) with supervision qualifications in the state of Texas or have the ability to transfer license to Texas. A record of professional or scholarly productivity is desirable. A.B.D. will be considered.
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
