Lecturer - Computer Information Systems - (ADJ000326)



The College of Technology is the third largest college at the University of Houston, a Carnegie-designated Tier One public research university. We are looking for highly dedicated scholars, researchers, and teachers to help us prepare future technologists, scientists, and business leaders.

The Computer Information Systems (CIS) program in the Information and Logistics Technology (ILT) Department is seeking applicants for a part-time lecturer. The CIS program is ABET/CAC accredited and is currently the largest undergraduate major in the College of Technology with almost 1,000 students. The outstanding candidate will primarily contribute to teaching an undergraduate course/courses. The preferred teaching areas include enterprise information systems administration and architecture including virtualization, information systems development and deployment, big data management and analytics, project management, database design, and information systems security.

Qualifications :
  • Graduate degree in a Computer Information Systems Field or related discipline, minimum Master’s degree or higher is required.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
  • Preferred industry experience.
