Associate Director of Athletics for Recreation and Facilities

The Athletic and Recreation Department at Pratt Institute is seeking an Associate Director of Athletics for Recreation and Facilities. This position will oversee Pratt's recreation program and the Activity Resource Center (ARC), supporting up to 10,000 students, staff, and community members each year. The Athletics and Recreation Department is committed to providing a wide range of activities and services that assist Pratt students of various backgrounds and abilities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. This position directs all programming and operational aspects of Pratt's recreation and fitness programming, fitness center, community memberships, and any related special events. This position works with key stakeholders across campus to define, deliver, and expand recreational services. The successful candidate for this position should be a self-starter with the ability to think creatively and engage a variety of stakeholders, demonstrate analytical, administrative, and time management skills, and have a strong commitment to the mission and goals of the Athletic and Recreation Department.
On a typical day, you will:
- Assists in the planning and management of the recreation program, athletic and recreation facilities and department.
- Directly supervises and evaluates performance and makes reappointment employment recommendations for professional staff. Supervises the recruitment, selection, training, development, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of professional and student staff.
- Continually forecasts, measures, and adjusts operational strategy in consideration of trends, facility and program usage, membership feedback, department and campus goals, and financial performance. Reviews and analyzes data from patron feedback, membership usage, and makes recommendations for new and innovative programming on a continuous basis
