Assistant Professor of Spanish with a specialization in 21st and 20th Centuries Latin American literature with additional expertise in contemporary Spanish Peninsular literature.

Job Description
University of New Orleans, Department of English and Foreign Languages, Assistant Professor of Spanish, tenure-track, to begin Fall 2022. Seeking applicants with a specialization in 21st and 20th Centuries Latin American literature with additional expertise in contemporary Spanish Peninsular literature.

Additional abilities desirable in the following areas: teaching Latin American civilization from colonial period to the present, teaching online with new technologies, ability to teach another Romance language at the elementary and intermediate levels, and literature in translation.

Ph.D. required; publications desirable. Position involves teaching lower-division courses and upper-division and graduate courses in the areas(s) of specialization.

Three-course load per semester; salary competitive.
