POSITION: Recruiter – Adult and Continuing Education Location: Jarvis Christian College Campus in Hawkins, Texas


The Adult Education Recruiter’s primary role is to help increase the overall enrollment and position of the College for future growth and expansion in the program. This includes strategically partnering with institutions and associations to build a prospective student pool that is reflective of the College’s goal to increase the adult learner population. The position involves the process of identifying potential prospective students and then planning, creating, and implementing the strategies needed to attract and successfully enroll those students. Candidates must be willing to travel at least 80% of the time and available to work extended hours and some weekends during peak recruiting periods. This position reports directly to Dean of Adult Education. This position is exempt and located on the main campus.


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience; previous experience as a college recruiter highly preferred
  • Bilingual – Spanish preferred
  • Experience in adult learner and veteran recruitment
  • Evening and weekend work sometimes required
  • Highly skilled in social media (Facebook, Messenger, Google, Twitter, Instagram, Podcast etc.)
  • Computer Savvy DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Assists with coordinating Adult Education recruitment efforts
  • Assists with the development of recruitment materials
  • Collects information regarding educational opportunities and disseminates such information to the students.
  • Travels to colleges, churches and other events to recruit students
  • Maintains prospect/applicant database
  • Provide assistance to prospective students concerning admissions requirements either by phone, in person or social media outlets
  • Assists with orientation and registration activities
  • Recruit students for the main campus for continuous increase in enrollment
  • Participates in and attends major functions on the main campus, including those identified in contract
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (admissions, financial aid, registrar, technology and business office)
  • Other duties as assigned
