Additional Schedule Details:
Position requires potentially
working holidays/weekends, schedule determined by police department
based upon needs.
The Police Officer is responsible for carrying out the functions of
the EKU Police Department. These functions include protection of
life and property, preservation of the peace and good order of the
University community, and the furnishing of various services to
enhance and support the operations of the University.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must qualify for acceptance into the Kentucky Law Enforcement
Council Basic Police Training Program
Minimum Licensure and Certification:
Valid Driver’s license.
Police Officer Requirements
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Citizen of the United States of America.
• Qualifies for acceptance for Kentucky Law Enforcement Council
basic police training program and/or certification as a police
officer under Kentucky Statues.
