Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach SYSE 697, Systems Engineering Project.

Course Description

This course consists of a project in systems engineering that the student will undertake at the conclusion of the academic coursework for this program. It will culminate in a written document on a project chosen and carried out by the student under the guidance of the student’s Systems Engineering Project Advisor. The project will be expected to demonstrate the student’s mastery of his topic, and must be of a quality suitable for publication.

Qualifications

Applicant Qualifications

A minimum of a Doctorate degree in discipline is required (please see list of acceptable disciplines below), as well as relevant industry experience from within the last 7 years.

Applicable Professional Certification
  • Professional Engineer’s license
  • Project Management Professional Certificate from the Project Management Institute
Desired Professional Training or Experience
  • Engineering project management
  • Participation in engineering design reviews
  • Service on conceptual design teams for aerospace systems
  • Direction of or participation in laboratory testing of engineering systems.

  • Systems Engineering
  • Engineering (includes Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautics, Architectural, Civil, Electronic and Computer, Industrial, Mechanical, Naval Architecture & Marine, Reliability, Safety Systems, Structural, and Manufacturing Engineering)
  • Logistics Management
  • Project Management
